A lovely Pair of Early 18th Century Antique English Georgian Brass Candlesticks from a group described by Ronald Michaelis on Page 116 of ''Old Domestic Base-Metal Candlesticks'', { A.C.C., Woodbridge, 1978 }, where an identical candlestick is illustrated, as ''none too prolific'' ! Drawing upon earlier styles, the comparable candlesticks there illustrated in Figure 170 are discussed in detail by the author, long regarded as the leading authority on the subject. For comparison, see Our Stock Ref. POAEGBC14-1 which passed through our stock in  September 2018, selling to a U.K. Collector for £445.00 the pair.
