Victorian 18ct Gold Diamond Star Set Ring Hallmarked 1876 Size Q

Lovely mid Victorian diamond ring with a central star set diamond flanked by two smaller diamonds.

The diamonds are set into the band almost flush with the surface with the gold setting cut into a star shape around the central stone and a geometric shapes surrounding the side stones. These shapes and angles on the band cleverly reflect light onto the stones without the design being overstated.

A lovely example of Victorian design from the Arts and Crafts period.

 

Hallmarks: Birmingham 1876 18ct gold. In lovely antique condition.
