A very ornate Victorian silver heart shaped trinket box richly decorated with swags, engraved and repoussé details and a broad rope twist detail around the lid. The sides of the box are rounded out with a cushion shaped, and the golden glow of the interior gilding adds further opulence to this treasure of a box.
There is a smooth cartouche on the lid which could be used for personalising box with engraved initials.
Fully hallmarked inside the box Sheffield 1898 William Neale & Son with furthers marks on the inner lid.
Condition: in lovely antique condition. The hinge works well and the lid fits snugly.
