Superb William IV Sterling Silver Gilt Inkwell Pot 1835 Top Quality Desk Antique

Description

A beautiful rare English William IV solid sterling silver gilt inkwell. It is hallmarked for London 1835 with the makers marks being that of Archibald Douglas. It has been superbly made having a gilded silver lid and hob nail cut glass base. It is in superb condition being free from dings splits chips cracks and repairs. It measures almost 2 inches (4.4cms) square long by 1.5 inches (4cms) tall and weighs 119 grams. A beautifully made rare piece.
