Stunning French Solid Silver Blue Enamel Box C1900 Antique

1900 - 1920
Description

A rare French solid silver and enamel box. It is hallmarked with a boars head silver mark and a makers mark. I would date it to c1900-1920. It has been beautifully made having a blue guilloche enamel lid and is internally gilded. The exterior had been gilded but this has all but gone. It is in superb condition being free from dings splits chips cracks and repairs. It measures approx. 2 inches (5cm) across by 0.75 inch (1.7cm) tall and weighs 32 grams. A superbly made high quality piece.
