A good quality late 18th century George III period SILVER CREAM JUG of “helmet” shape, beautifully engraved and with pretty beading around the upper edge. It stands on a square base in which can be found the good clear hallmarks for London 1796; makers: Peter and Anne Bateman. Max 5.75 ins (14.6cms) high.
