Rare Beautiful German Solid Silver Wine or Tea Strainer C1900 Antique 62g

Description

A rare beautifully made German solid silver wine or tea strainer, most likely the former as it has been decorated with grapes. It has been hallmarked with the German crescent moon & crown mark along with the 800 standard mark. I would date it to c1900. It has been superbly made having its handle in the form of a figure holding a wine glass and the surrounded by grapes and vines. It is in superb condition being free from dings splits distortions and repairs. It measures approx. 5.5 inches (13.4cm) across including the handle and 3.25 inches (8.5cm) excluding it by 1 inch (2.6cm) deep and weighs 62 grams. A very well made rare piece.
