Woodbridge Antiques has dated this piece to the 1910s.
Lovely plain polished silver with no engraving to the surfaces. The case opens perfectly and closes with a snap onto a small button leaver. Hallmarks are visible to both sides of the inside of the case, for the Birmingham Assay Office with a date mark for 1909, Lion Passant indicating the finest sterling silver and the maker's mark for the silversmith Sydney & Co. There is a small loop at the top for attachment.

Condition: In very good condition (some light surface scratching and a tiny pin prick sized impression to the silver on one side of the case, commensurate with age and mentioned for accuracy only).
