Fine Old Sheffield Plated Chalice / Goblet - Gainsford

Description

A fine George III chalice or goblet. Made of Old Sheffield Plate and bearing the rare makers mark for Gainsford (1808). Of good heavy quality and with an original gilded interior.

The condition is very good overall with no dents or splits. Slight age related markings and slight copper bleed to the raised edges but otherwise in very good antique condition.

Weight approx 664g.

Base diameter approx 11.5cm
