Pair Of Victorian 'diamond Princess' Brass Candlesticks
Status:This item has been sold Sold by:In A Nutshell Antiques and Interiors
A good example of a pair of ''Diamond Princess'' brass candlesticks, designed to commemorate the Diamond Jubilee of Queen Victoria in 1897. They are excellent quality made from solid brass with a heavy square footed base, beaded detail and a diamond shaped design around the centre. The foot is stamped ''Diamond Princess'' and also stamped with the registration number.
They are in good condition for their age and display well. There are some faint surface marks and small knocks and some minor dings commensurate with age but nothing detrimental. They have been cleaned and gently polished to retain their original patina and are ready for use.
