Description

A very handsome antique sterling silver and glass hip flask. The silver lid has a bayonet fitting and is hinged with a silver collar. Here clear hallmarks are visible for the Birmingham Assay office with a date mark for 1919, the lion passant, indicating fine sterling silver and the maker's mark for the silversmith: A & J Zimmerman.

The body of the flask is a good heavy glass The silver lower half of the flask pulls away to be used as a drinking cup and full hallmarks are also clearly visible on the front, along with an engraved monogram. There is also a monogram engraved to the top of the lid.

Condition. A super hip flask, in great condition.

Measurements: Height: 16.5 cm Width: 9 cm Depth: 3.4 cm Weight: 527.4 grams
