Description

A top quality pair o George IV grape scissors/shears.

Marked to the inside of the blades with a date letter for London 1825. Makers mark for WC - William Chawner, the quality certainly would indicate that he was the maker of these scissors.

Earls coronet to each handle and a family crest of a boar. Research indicates that this could be for the Earl of Clare?

Excellent condition.
