Red & White Enamel Viking Boat Brooch by Aksel Holmsen Norway

1940 - 1960
Description

A beautiful vintage silver & enamel brooch by the Norwegian silversmith Aksel Holmsen. Made in the form of a Viking boat, the sail is enamelled in the most stunning red and white. The brooch is silver with gilt coating and on the back are the marks for Aksel Holmsen - Norway Sterling 925s. There is a good fastening pin on the back.

 

A dazzling brooch - great for a collector of vintage Norwegian designer jewellery.

 

Condition: Great pre-owned condition. The beautiful enamel is in beautiful condition.

Period: Mid twentieth century.

 

Measurements: Height: 3cm Width: 3.5cm Weight: 5.4 grams
