Serpentine Antiques has dated this piece to the 1890s.
The matching and heavy butter knife is made in the elegant and unusual Albany pattern. They are contained in the gilt embellished beautiful shaped leather case having a deep blue silk and velvet interior.

The case bears the original retailers label for Kammerer and Co. silversmiths, of Llanelly, Wales inside the hinged lid.
Size-dish, 6 inches long by 4.5 inches wide by 1 inch high. Knife, 5.25 inches long by 5/8 inches wide. Case, 8 inches long by 7.25 inches wide by 2 inches high.

Weight-115 grams. Including case 400 grams.
An unusual and particularly lovely set in very good condition. It is wonderful to get the original and complete set and case together.
It would make a wonderful gift or an impressive piece for the table.
