Description

Wedgwood black basalt mug, with silver mount, dated 1808. The mug heavily moulded with a continuous band of entwined branches of oak leaves and acorns, between bands of overlapping leaves. The loop handle moulded with overlapping leaves.
Silver mounted to the rim, with the date mark for 1808.
Impressed ‘WEDGWOOD’, and ‘3’, to the underside.
Height – 12.5 cm, 4 7/8”.
Width over handle – 13 cm, 5 1/8”.
Diameter – 9 cm, 3 1/2”.
Condition – Excellent. No damage. No restoration.
