Fine Art Nouveau 9ct Gold Aquamarine & Pearl Pendant on 18" 9ct Gold Chain

A very finely made Art Nouveau 9ct gold aquamarine & pearl pendant on a 9ct 18" cable chain.

 

The setting is formed in a symmetrical curving shape like a fan or a kite, with curled edges dotted with eight seed pearls. A gorgeous pale blue aquamarine in a rub over setting sits in the centre. The setting tapers gracefully to a point, tipped with another seed pearl and a second aquamarine in a drop setting.

 

A lovely fluid design in typical Art Nouveau style, with sparkle and movement. This antique necklace would make a wonderful and special gift.

 

The pendant is marked as 9ct on the rear and the 18" long rope twist chain is marked 9ct to the clasp.

Period: Edwardian / early 20th century.
