A Fine Silver and Enamelled Butterfly Brooch Circa 1930

This fine example of a silver and hand enamelled brooch is bright vibrant and very eye-catching. It is made of solid silver and marked sterling silver and is in the form of a beautiful butterfly with finely shaped and detailed wings and finished with a rich blue enamel with fine silver edging. The body is equally detailed and in contrast, is finished with emerald green enamel with black eyes. In addition, the antenna has been produced in curled silver wire.

The brooch is fastened with a hinged pin which is also in silver. This piece is in good condition. There is one original minute heat dimple to the enamelling which is completely original to the manufacture.
