Rare Very Large Solid Silver Large Tea Ball Egg Infuser Strainer C1900 Antique

Description

A rare very large German antique 800 solid silver large tea infuser. It is hallmarked with the German crescent moon and crown mark, the 800 standard mark and the makers mark of Lutz & Weiss. It has been superbly designed being of egg form with a catch that turns to securely close the lid. It is in superb condition being free from dings splits distortions and repairs. It measures approx. 2.5 inches (6.7cm) tall by 1.75 inches (4.5cm) across (about the size of a large hens egg) and weighs 30 grams. A rare well made example.
