Dragon Bowl Norwegian Antique Sterling Silver C1900 Marius Hammer 92g Dragestil

Description

A rare beautiful Norwegian antique solid sterling silver dish or bowl. It is hallmarked with the 930 standard mark along with the makers mark of Marius Hammer who operated in Bergen from 1847 to 1927. I would date this piece to c1900. It has been superbly designed having dragon feet and handles. It is in superb condition being free from dings splits holes and repairs. It measures approx. 5.25 inches (13cm) across including the handles and 3.5 inches (9cm) excluding them by 2.75 inches (7.2cm) wide by 2.5 inches (6.8cm) tall to the top of the handles and weighs 92 grams. A very good quality piece.
