Huge 284g Scottish Sterling Silver Queens Serving Soup Stew Ladle 1862 Antique

Description

A huge heavy rare Scottish Victorian antique solid sterling silver serving ladle. It is hallmarked for Glasgow 1862 with the maker’s marks being difficult to decipher. It has been superbly made to what is termed Queens pattern and the terminal has been engraved with a single initial. It is in superb condition being free from dings splits and repairs. It measures approx. 14.5 inches (36.5cm) long by 4 inches (10.2cm) wide and weighs a very impressive 284 grams. A top quality piece.
