Rare English Sterling Silver Glass Noggin Whisky Decanter Jug 1902 Antique

1900 - 1920
Description

A beautiful solid sterling silver and glass small decanter jug, often called a noggin. It is hallmarked for Birmingham 1902 with the makers mark being that of John Grinsell & Sons. It has been stylishly designed and is in super condition being free from dings splits and repairs. It was designed to hold a small amount of whisky or brandy on say a fireside or bedside table rather than using the large decanter. It measures approx. 6 inches (15.2cm) tall by 2.75 inches (7cm) across the body and weighs 240 grams. A high quality example.
