Large Pair of Victorian Solid Silver Sauce Boats, Chester 1896

Description

A superb pair of Victorian solid siover sauce boats in the Georgian style, with flying C scroll handles with acanthus leaf thumb rests, each standing on particularly nice cast scallop shell feet. Fully hallmarked for Chester 1896 by George Nathan & Ridley Hayes, retailed by Z Barraclough & Sons, Leeds.

In superb condition throughout, light wear to hallmarks. Very heavy at 640 grams combined.
