Rare Large Georgian Solid Sterling Silver Haggis Server 1820 Antique 86g

Description

A rare Georgian antique solid sterling silver server. It is hallmarked for London 1820 with the makers mark being missing. It has been beautifully made having an engraved gilded thistle bowl and figural terminal. I suspect with it having a Scottish theme that it may be for serving haggis - although I have seen nothing like it before. It is in super condition being free from dings splits distortions and repairs. It measures approx. 9.5 inches (23.6cm) long by 3 inches (7.6cm) wide and weighs 86 grams. A very well made very unusual piece of Georgian silverware.
