Unheated Ruby and Diamond Victorian 18ct Gold Ring

Description

An early 20th Century late Victorian early Edwardian late Victorian ruby and diamond boat ring, set with natural rubies, mixed cut and old European cut diamonds in 18ct yellow gold diamonds are approximately 0.4cts the centre ruby is 0.75ct rubies are natural unheated. The ring is in very good condition with minor abrasions to the stones. Rubies are rarer than sapphires but have the same composition and are both in the same family corundums, only red stones are called rubies all other colours are named sapphires. It is a size S but can be sized to fit.
