Regency Athenienne Style Triform Candlesticks

Description

A fine pair of very elegant early 19th century, probably English Regency, patinated and gilt ormolu bronze Athenienne style triform candlesticks. Classical zoomorphic bird legs with original connecting chains surmounted with a gilt bronze urn and basket filled fruit and flowers design candle cups. Toupie feet and white marble circular bases with ormolu edging. One retains an old label 'Certified by the British Antiques Dealer Association'.
