Striking Victorian pietra dura pectoral cross, English Ashford marble, circa 1860
Inlaid hardstones form a lively cruciform posy of forget-me-nots, natural stone shading to the leaves and petals.
Full of symbolism this large pendant cross is both a memento mori and expresses faith in Christianity.
All in very good sound bright condition, insignificant nibbles to the edges.
Strong unmarked silver ring mounts to the top, fine on a ribbon or chain.
