Art Deco Silver & Guilloche Enamel Scent Bottle by Henry Clifford Davis, Birmingham 1924

Description

This exquisite and unusual silver and dual colour enamel scent bottle is dated Birmingham 1922 and was made by Henry Clifford Davis who produced numerous guilloche enamel items. The elegant sliced-cut tear-drop shaped glass body fitted with a silver screw top lid. The lid inset with a deep lilac enamel cabochon. The sides with a white enamel band. The neck fitted with the original clear glass stopper & dauber.

Hallmarks:

HCD for Henry Clifford Davis.

Birmingham Assay mark.

Lion Passant.

Date letter "z" for 1924.

Dimensions:

Height: 8 cm / 3 inches.

Maximum width: 4cm / 1.5 inches.

Depth: 1.5cm / 0.4 inches.

Condition:

Enamel in excellent condition.

Glass body and glass neck in excellent condition.
