Description

A very interesting silver dip pen/letter opener in original box for Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Regent Street London, the pen was not made by them but most likely retailed by them.

The pen is engraved with Telegraph Service and the GPO logo and on the other side with the date. 1935. Research has shown that the first greetings telegram was sent, this may have been made to commemorate this event.

Assayed in Birmingham 1934 and makers mark for E Baker & Sons.

Lovely quality great condition, spare nib.

Length of pen 17 cm including nib 19.5 cm
