Vintage Norwegian Silver & Enamel Butterfly Brooch by David Andersen

1940 - 1960
Description

A stunning silver and enamel butterfly brooch by the renowned Norwegian jewellery designer David Andersen. This is a good sized example and has an exceptionally pretty colour combination of orange and pale yellow, with very finely detailed wings. The body, wing edges, antennae and back of the brooch are all in the silver gilt finish.

 

On the back is a good fastening pin and the clear marks for David Andersen, Norway, Sterling. Lovely for a collector of David Andersen and in great collector's condition.

 

Period: c.1950's

 

Measurements: 5.4 cm x 3 cm Weight: 10.1 grams. Weights and measurements are approximate.
