Antique Victorian natural tortoiseshell Victorian drop earrings with silver tops and 9ct gold hooks 7cms long.

The victorians loved using many materials in their jewellery making, thsee date from the late 19th century and are natural tortoiseshell with steel marcasite stones and set in silver with gold hooks in perfect antique condition.

Tortoiseshell and marcasite was particularly popular in the eighteenth century, the Victorian era and with Art Nouveau jewellery designers.
