Quality Asprey English Solid Sterling Silver Engine Turned Box 1942 London

Description

A superb quality English solid silver snuff or pill box. It is hallmarked for London 1942 with the makers marks being that of Asprey & Co Ltd. It has been stylishly designed being engine turned to its base and sides and the lid being engraved with the single initial M, the inside has been gilded. It is in superb condition being free from dings splits and repairs. It measures approx. 1.75 inches (4.3cm) long by almost 1.5 inches (3.4cm) wide by 0.5 inch (1.1cm) tall and weighs 34 grams. A very well made example.
