Pair of antique USA 1$ gold dollar coins converted to stud earrings.

The coins feature Liberty as an Indian princess, type 2 (small head) 1854 - 56

The dates though part covered by the post mounts are clearly 1855 and 1856

Coin diameters 15 mm weights 1.672 grams

Gross weight without butterfly backs 3.5 grams

21 carat gold coins mounted with 18 carat unmarked gold posts with rolled gold butterfy friction backs

The backs are strong and tight on the posts.

In excellent clean condition with no damage or repair.
