Georgian Solid Silver Pyx Priests Wafer Box C1800 Provincial ? Religious Antique

Description

A beautifully made solid silver pyx or wafer box. It is marked with a makers mark only, SE. It tests as high grade silver. I would date it to c1800 maybe provincial or made to order and not set for assaying. It is in outstanding condition being free from dings splits holes and repairs, the lid is tight fitting and the inside is gilded. It measures approx. 2 inches (5cm) across by 0.25 inch (1.2cm) tall and weighs 30 grams. A very nice quality rare piece.
