A very desirable example of a mid 18thc brass "swirl" base candlestick, this attractive feature is very hard to find in candlesticks of this period ....it is also engraved on the top of the knop, but what is very unusual is the height.... standing at 9.50"ins (24cms)....one of the largest examples I have had.....it is in excellent condition for its age.
