makers mark C&R C for William Comyns & Sons Ltd (Charles & Richard Comyns)

retailer gilt marked J C Vicery Regent St. W

The shell with inlaid silver badges for Eton OTC (officers training corps) Floreat Etona

and RFC (Royal Flying Corps)

Housing the original photos of probably the same young man in private uniform at Eaton OTC and in RFC uniform

The photos not marked or inscribed

All in good sound condition, restorations to the inner rims of the tortoiseshell

Overall size of each frame, 7" x 4,5/8" or 176mm x 117mm,
