Artisan Antiques has dated this piece to the 1900s.

Uniquely, this article is smaller than a usual Russian silver napkin ring, and although it could be used for smaller serviettes, we believe this size would be ideal for scarves and may have been the original intended purpose.

Pairing with a slightly thick silk scarf with complimentary colours or matching naturalistic motifs most certainly matches well. We believe that even in the modern day, such discerning and elegant style absolutely has a place today and may even serve as a refined conversation starter.

Despite its modest size, the quality feel in hand, the intricate silverwork and the colourful enamelling are delightful and make for both a splendid collectable and functional piece of silver (or perhaps it could be considered almost jewellery-like).

The kokoshnik mark indicates assay master Ivan Segeyevich Lebedkin (Moscow -1898-1914) however the marker's mark could not be identified.

CONDITION
Fair Condition - The scarf ring is in fair antique condition with some cracks and losses of enamelling in various spots. Please refer to the last two images which highlight the most significantly damaged areas. Due to the nature of the colourful design and small size, it is not immediately apparent and almost indistinguishable from afar when worn.

We aim to overemphasize and state these issues to avoid disappointment and thus please rest assured they are not significant nor affect the usage of the items.
Please refer to the photographs to examine the condition in further detail.
