A superb quality pair of solid silver candlesticks by Robert Harper, of delightful shape and design, these fine sticks in the 16th-century style are offered in very good condition.
Rare, sterling silver, Victorian pair of Capstan candlesticks in the 16th century European style, London, 1879, Robert Harper, maker. Removable bobeches. Each measures 13.5cm high by 10.5cm diameter across the base. Columns are spiral/barleytwist in design; base of each candlestick has fabulous raised historical figures in relief within the cartouches, four to each with scrolled decoration between each cartouche. Raised ball design along crimped edges on the base. Dark spots in photos are reflections. Excellent condition. Weight 413g
