Huge Goliath English Antique Sterling Silver Vesta Match Case 1910 Antique 50g

Description

A beautiful very large English antique solid sterling silver vesta case. It is hallmarked for Sheffield 1910 with the makers mark being that of Mappin and Webb. It has been superbly designed being engraved with initials and gilded inside. It is in superb condition being free from dings splits and repairs, tiny mark to the top see final photo. It works perfectly with a strong mechanism and the inside is clean. It measures approx. 2 inches (5.2cms) wide by 2.5 inches (6.3cms) tall and weighs 50 grams. A very high quality rare example.

Declaration

The Silver Squirrel has dated this piece to the Edwardian era.
