Rare Solid Sterling Silver Harlequin Grape Scissors Shears 1882 Antique

Description

Very rare English antique solid sterling silver grape scissors or shears. They are hallmarked for London 1882 with the maker’s marks being that of Henry John Lias & James Wakely. They have been superbly designed being cast in the form of a harlequin. They are in superb condition being free from dings splits distortions and repairs. They have a nice tight smooth action. They measure approx. 5.5 inches (14.5cm) long by 2 inches (5cm) wide at the handles and weigh 72 grams. Superbly made very high quality rare examples.

The Silver Squirrel has dated this piece to the Victorian era.
