Victorian 18ct Gold Diamond Ring 1897 Size O

A very elegant Victorian 18ct gold ring with six diamonds. The setting is formed of two offset elliptical motifs,  each set with a central diamond in a square setting and two diamonds either side. This is a lovely well proportioned design in a warm 18ct gold.  The shoulders of the band have a smooth but slightly bevelled edge, which catches the light, the rest of the band is a consistent 2mm width, only narrowing slightly to 1.8mm at the base.   

 

On the inside of the band are the clear hallmarks from the Birmingham Assay Office for 18ct gold and a date of 1897.
