Charming Chatelaine Mirror Birmingham 1920 Crisford & Norris Ltd

A charming dainty solid silver chatelaine mirror. The back of the miniature mirror is beautifully engraved with swags of ribbons, flowers and bows. There is a small loop originally for attaching to a chatelaine belt. Clear hallmarks are visible at the top of the mirror for the Birmingham Assay Office and a date mark for 1920. The Lion Passant for sterling silver is also visible. Marks for the well respected silversmiths Crissford & Norris can be clearly seen.

 

Condition: The mirror is in good antique condition: the silver edge around the looking glass is very slightly raised in one small area but scarcely noticeable. The handle has some small rubs, only very slight, only mentioned for accuracy.
