Large 19th Century Antique Iron & Upholstered Footstool

A fabulous large scale antique footstool or coffee table with a lovely iron base that has reeded columns around the frieze and with turned iron legs that finish on original iron wheels. The antique iron base is left in a raw finish, but could be painted or black waxed. The newly upholstered top is with new firm foam innards and traditionally upholstered in Andrew Martin’s Safi Ikat fabric. The seat is firm enough to support a drinks tray and magazines for use as a central coffee table. A very decorative large antique footstool or coffee table that dates to around 1870.
