Norwegian Sterling Silver Green Enamel Sewing Thimble C1940 David Andersen

Description

A beautiful rare solid sterling silver and enamelled thimble. It is hallmarked with the Norwegian marks for David Andersen, these marks were used form 1925. I would date it be its style to c1940-1950. It has been superbly designed and is in super condition being free from dings splits holes and repairs. No chips or cracks. It measures approx. 1 inch (2.6cm) tall by 0.75 inch (1.6cm) across the base and weighs 6 grams. A very beautiful rare example.
