Description

This is a really beautiful pair of early 20th century French porcelain table lamps of such a pretty design and still with their lovely original silk shades. The pair of lamps date from around 1920 and are in hard paste porcelain with gilt bronze ormolu decoration in the form of leaves and flowers. The pretty birds are beautifully hand painted in pastel enamels and are really decorative. The original shades are a lovely shape and are in very good order overall with one having a slight break in the silk to only one panel which is at the back so not seen. These have been rewired with modern braided cable in keeping with the original. The pair are very pretty indeed and very rare to see with their original shades that compliment the lamps perfectly.

These measure 42 cms high overall and the shades are 30 cms wide by 22 cms deep.
