Woodbridge Antiques has dated this piece to the 1920s.
It has no engravings or embossing and is a lovely plain polished silver, and stands solidly on three very attractive hoof feet.

The hallmarks on the base are crisp and clear for the London Assay office with a date mark 1918, along with the maker’s mark, R W B, and the Harrods retailer's stamp. R W B was Richard Woodman Burbidge, chairman of Harrods, who had their own silversmiths producing their own top quality items for the famous department store in Knightsbridge. This card tray has all the quality you would expect from this elite store.

A stunning tray, in lovely condition. Wonderful as a gift for a wedding or silver wedding anniversary. It is also a great heavy gauge of silver (188grams).
