Description

High quality heavy English Victorian antique solid sterling silver asparagus, vegetable, or sandwich serving tongs. They are hallmarked for London 1891 with the makers mark being that of Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Co (William Gibson & John Lawrence Langman). They have been made to what is termed the Kings Pattern and have been engraved with the initials ECC. They are highly sprung and in good working order. They are in superb condition being free from dings splits distortions and repairs. They measure approx. 9.5 inches (24cm) long by 2.25 inches (5.4cm) across the grips and they weigh an impressive 170 grams. Super quality examples.
