An Early Victorian Bristol Blue Wine Jug with Silver Plated Mount

A lovely Victorian wine jug or flagon decanter in deep Bristol Blue. This charming piece has a matching applied handle and the original silver plated collar, with a pouring lip and engraved floral patterns. The lid is hinged and has a shell thumb grip and the domed base has a polished pontil mark. The decanter dates from the mid 19th Century and is as decorative as it is practical. Dimensions below.

Condition :- Excellent, with no chips or cracks. There is pitting to the inside of the collar and lid (shown in photos and commensurate with age and use.
