Beautiful Norwegian Sterling Silver Enamel Bluebell Flower Letter Opener C1950

1940 - 1960
Description

A beautiful Norwegian antique solid silver and enamel letter opener. It is hallmarked STERLING along with the makers mark of TH Marthinsen of Norway. I would date it to c1940-50. It has been superbly designed with the terminal being enamelled in the form of a blue bell. It is in superb condition being free from dings splits holes and repairs, no chips or cracks. It measures approx. 6.75 inches (17cm) long by 1 inch (2.6cm) wide and weighs 24 grams. A very high quality example.
