Pair Of Heavy Silver Napkin Rings Hallmarked London 1944

A fine pair of solid silver napkin rings. Circular in shape with, the napkins are of a generous width and diameter, and decorated with an engine turned pattern. Each ring has an empty circular cartouche in the centre and is very clearly hallmarked on the outside for the London Assay Office along with the Lion Passant indicating sterling silver and the date mark for 1944. The silver maker''s mark is clearly visible: Edward Barnard & Sons Ltd.

A handsome set of napkin rings in a good heavy gauge silver, and in great vintage condition. Their simple but elegant style is timeless and would suit a modern or retro home interior perfectly, and the empty cartouche could be engraved for gift purposes. A perfect wedding gift!
