An Elizabeth Morley Georgian Silver Port Label

A desirable silver Port wine label, by a female silversmith. This excellent example is of rectangular form with clipped corners and a reeded border. 'Port' is engraved to the centre in 'pricked' capitals. The label is supported on a belcher chain. Interesting to collectors, the word Port appears to have been engraved over a previous erased name. Hallmarked in the Georgian Regency period, this is a fine collector's item with a practical use. Dimensions below.
